When you have note input "N" active and you don't move your cursor changing the note length with the keyboard shortcut doesn't update the cursor symbol. It would be a nice tweak, for me at least.

Hi gabibarastean,

Sounds like you've pointed out that:

Once in (n) Input mode
and the Input cursor is visible
you choose a new input duration via a keystroke
Unexpected result: the cursor updates to the new duration only after moving the cursor.

Similarly, when first I enter Input mode I don't see a cursor at all, until I move it.

Title Graphical suggestion Shadow note does not disappear upon pressing keyboard shortcut if mouse is outside input cursor

It's deliberate that the "shadow note" doesn't not appear when using keyboard input, it would actually be quite annoying to most keyboard users and based on user feedback we've pretty carefully tweaked things so only mouse users will see it in most cases. So normally, pressing a shortcut to change duration makes the shadow note disappear. But indeed, it does seem to be possible to get into situation where this doesn't always work. Seems to depend on exactly where the mouse is - sometimes the shadow now correctly disappears, sometimes it does not. As far as I can tell, if the mouse cursor is within the note input curcor rectangle, it works correctly (shadow note disappears). If the mouse cursor is outside the input cursor rectangel, it does not work correctly. The correct behavior, though, is indeed to disappear, not to change to reflect the new duration.

I've updated the issue title accordingly.
