Crashes
About every ten minutes of editing and adding to my arrangement, I will select a note and it will continue to be held for a good amount of time, and if I press the space bar to listen to my score, Musescore will crash and delete all of my work before I save.

Sorry to hear that. In order to help, we'd need you to post the score you are having problems with, and tell us what version of MuseScore and what OS. If it's MuseScore 1.3 on MacOS Mavericks, downgrading to 1.2 may help.
