Doesn't crash for me using those steps. But the 2nd score is significantly smaller, it should be larger instead?
It indeed doesn't load, but extracting the mscx from the mscz (using z7Zip) works and opens.
As does that saved as mscz again
No idea what's going on there, but something must have gone wrong when you saved id. The thumbnail is missing too
