If a time signature happens to fall on the right edge of a line, it is unable to be deleted. For example:
The workaround is to simply re-adjust the score to move the time signature. Once it is in the middle of a line, it is easily removed with the delete key.

Score needed, but most probably it is a courtesy time signatire for that followong in the next system
Unlikely related to #22826: Courtesy key and time signatures incorrectly positioned at line break, as that seems fixed meanwhile or #52391: Key / Time Signature Courtesy option (and delete) ineffective with Multimeasure Rests as here no multi measure rests are involved
Indeed, you can't delete a courtesy time signature directly, you delete the actual key signature on the next system. If you wish to hide the courtesy there are separate controls for that. So my guess is this is by design, but if you have some specific case where you believe there is a problem, please attach the score and steps to reproduce the issue.
