Greetings,

I am often engraving very tightly packed scores.

Currently, the automatic layout of lyrics seem to be not using all uninked space on the paper optimally. It would be nice if it would be possible in MuseScore to automatically lay out lyrics so that:
1. lyrics could move somewhat horizontally from their centered position, to optimize spaces between words of neighbouring notes (don't rigidly take up space for the entire word when there is space around on one side)
2. lyrics could underhang (protrude under) other objects (barlines, time signatures, etc.) until there is an actual collision

My example for these:

Observe, near the centre of the system, two neighbouring 1/8th notes, with lyrics [lich, |cher,] and [so | dich]. There is plenty of space on either side, so the score could be packed tighter (notes closer to each other) if the notes and lyrics were allowed to move somewhat relative to each other horizontally.

Simlary observe how [so | dich] does not move under the following barline and time signature. I don't think it is a note margin, because observe, towards the end of the system, the tight margin of the last quarter note before the 2/4 time signature. Or, if I ask MuseScore to left-align [herr | si] under the half not near the center, the note margin is nicely reduced (and I think we are now bumping into the margin of the note on the staff above which also has lyrics):

Thank you for consideration.

I attach the score, the screenshots show one system in the Tenor part.
