What is the workaround?
Please provide the XML file
In MuseScore 3.6 all chord symbols open correctly.
You are aware that a status "won't fix" basically close the issue?
Anyway: issue with 4.x pre-releases should rather get reported on GitHub anyhow
4.x does show chord symbols, just not the 1st letter of them. These do show though in the status bar and when putting the chord symbole into edit mode.
I don't see any such issue on GitHub, so please report it there https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/new/choose
My assumption is that the default chord symbol description file isn't being loaded for MusicXML imports. That would explain what we see, and why editing the chord or save/reload fixes it (which it does). So, another workaround: go to Format / Style / Chord Symbols, change from standard to jazz and back (or vice versa).

I had the same problem. The changing format of the chord symbols to jazz and back fixed it. Thanks.
I have tested this issue in both version 4 and 4.1, and I can confirm that the problem exists in both versions. When exporting a MusicXML file from MuseScore or downloading it directly from the website (https://musescore.com/user/79276/scores/5212350?share=copy_link), and then importing it into Logic Pro, I am unable to see the chord symbols. However, I am able to view the lyrics in the meta events (event 61) when examining them in Logic, but no chord symbols events (event 59).
I would like to see the full lead sheet, melody, chords and lyrics.
Please advise
Thanks
