Measuring Absolute Velocity
Is there a way, outside of using the Inspector, to measure or display the absolute velocity of any note within a score? As I envision it, this datum would take into account Dynamics, and per note user or offset factors, returning a value between 1 and 127.
Thanks!

Not if is is set to Offset (then it is calculated on the fly, the moment you hit play, I believe), only when set to User it is an absolut value
You can open the Piano Roll Editor and choose "Velocity (absolute)" in the bottom area

Fabulous! That works a treat. Had never used the PRE before. This allows me to look at notes at a fundamental level. Thanks, jeetee!
Note, however, that velocity is not really a particularly relevant property for most instruments - only keyboard, percussion, plucked strings, and similar instruments that are incapable of single note dynamics. For most other instruments (winds, strings, etc), volume is controlled by CC messages instead.
