Is it illegal to redistribute a public domain score posted in MuseScore?
For example, the following music is by a composer born in 1765.
https://musescore.com/user/33817520/scores/6059259
In the scores attribute, the license is "None", and the file can be downloaded only by subscribers. If I subscribe to MuseScore and download the song, Am I allowed to redistribute public domain scores?

Born in 1765 suggests that he's daed since more than 70 years, so this should be in the Public Domain.
Get the uploader (or the musescore.com staff) to mark it as such

I see this quite often - I've always assumed that the uploader considers that they have made a new edition, and claims copyright. But maybe they just haven't thought it through.
