Different dynamics in RH and LH piano
It's common to play with different dynamics for the right hand and the left and on the piano. How is it possible to render this with MuseScore playback while having a standard piano score displayed? I use two single staff scores, but how to make them look like a piano score (with a bracket and a single instrument name)? Or is there a better way to use two midi tracks/channels (with two different mixer level) for playback)?

Use the Inspector of those dynamics and set their range from Part (the default) to Staff

Thanks. It works at the dynamic element level but is there a way to have a different track for each staff?

By making them different instruments.

This is what I already do, but it does solve the second part of the problem: "how to make them look like a piano score (with a bracket and a single instrument name)"

Add the bracket from the corresponding palette and make the barlines (of the top staff) longer, by dragging them down

Thanks! I did that, and I didn't have to make the bar lines longer. They were automatically extended. The only thing I couldn't do is to have the instrument name displayed as it would be for a piano staff. This is easy to fix for the first line, but it won't automatically repeat on the next ones like for other instruments. Also, the bracket is different from the standard one, and I couldn't find any place where this would be configurable.

The bracket is the standard one. Just pick the correct one from the palette, there are several to choose from

I have two scores formatted with the same style (through "Save style" and "Load style"). The resulting bracket should be the same:
I can't figure out any way to fix the problem with the first one.

Select that bracket and in its Inspector (re)set its Column to 0
(seems you found a bug there, but see below)

Or use this (rather than hiding staves always in the staves' properties

Thanks. Setting the column to 0 in the inspector fixed the position. I have not yet figured out how you fixed the aspect of the bracket, but I will investigate that. However, if I delete the bracket and insert a new one, it comes back with the wrong aspect and with column = 1! (In my original file, not the one you fixed).

I removed the bottom staff of the top piano and the top staff of the bottom piano, rather than just hiding them.

Thanks! The effect of the additional hidden staves on the aspect of the bracket is strange, though.

Indeed, looks like a bug to me

"The only thing I couldn't do is to have the instrument name displayed as it would be for a piano staff. "
Try moving the Long Instrument Name and the Short Instrument Name down several times with the Enter key.
"Also, the bracket is different from the standard one"
In the attached sample score, I used two separate Piano instruments, then removed bass staff from the upper piano and removed treble staff from the lower piano. Then there is no need to add any bracket manually.

Better this one (it does keep the bass clef for the bottom staff, as being the default)

Here is what I get. I can't manage to have the instrument name correct!
