How can I append a score with varying barlengths with a copy of itself
I'm converting closed choral scores with multiple verses to SATB.
First I enter the music and its markings only and save as: "Xyz - music only.mscz".
Then I make a copy of this file, save as "Xyz - Verses.mscz" and enter Verse 1 lyrics - so far so good.
Then I want to append the verses file with a copy of the music only file, however all the bars (measures) are of the time signature length and cheerfully ignore the original varying bar lengths due to anacrusis etc.
A somewhat clumsy work-around is to make separate Verse 1, Verse 2 . . . files, print them as pdf files and cobble them together but . . .
I'm sure there must be a way to do this in MuseScore only without having to edit each appendage.
Please enlighten me.

There is none, except of precraeting all measures, time sig changes and irregular measures. See #165746: Request option to copy system elements with copy/paste (ALL ELEMENTS).
See also #289326: Re-implement the Album feature for Musecore 3/4, which might solve this too, once implemented

Thanks Jojo,
I checked the link and I got the beginning of an understanding why copy and paste won't work in this situation. It leaves me wondering though: How do you hang different movements together? Are they left as separate files?

For now, the best two choices are either do the whole work in one file (best for all but the very longest works), or else just keep them separate but join the PDF's later (more practical for works of dozens of pages per movement)
