All windows are cut off by taskbar

• Apr 3, 2022 - 02:36

Every window that I open in Musescore (V 3.6.2) is hidden by the windows taskbar/bottom of the screen if the taskbar is off (Windows 11).

Is this an unusually low resolution monitor? Or an unusual smaller one? If so, you might indeed have to just live with the need to resize larger windows. But if this is a "normal" display, it could be that Windows is communicating the screen resolution incorrectly, causing everything to display too big. If so, try finding the EXE file for MuseScore in Program Files, right-click, Properties, Compatibility, and try different settings for the high DPI scaling ("system" or "system (enhanced)" might work).

If you like this resolution, you can auto hide the taskbar. This is done in taskbar settings. The taskbar will be gone until you mouse over the bottom of the screen. Then it will appear.
