dash between lyrics won't go away

Hi All, I have typed some lyrics and inadvertently placed a dash between two words where there shouldn't be one. Like this "Cy-ra-no - his legend...." I want to remove the dash between "no" and "his", but even after removing the whole sentence, the dash remains. Has anyone else had this problem?

BTW, the reason I placed a dash there in the first place, was that I wanted to create a double dash in the lyrics, but it wouldn't let me type two dashes. I found that I can just use expression text to do that. I guess that's the best solution? In other words to do this: " Cy - ra - no - - his le-gend " .... I used expression text to create the double dash.....
