Issues with experimental pre-release 4.x builds are better reported over on GitHub. When you do so, be sure to attach the specific score you are having trouble with (might need to change the name to ZIP). In general, clicking tempo markings does work fine in any recent build, so people would definitely need to see your score in order to investigate.
