Copying lyrics does not work. When I copy lyrics from one voice I cannot paste it to another voice. Also when I try to paste the lyrics to notepad, it seems nothing was copied.

In order to understand and assit, we would need you to attach the score you are having trouble with and give precise steps to reproduce the problem. Copying of lyrics certainly does work in general, so it must be something about your score or the steps you are following that is getting in the way.

I did some further tests:
In the attached score, there is a part where all voices have the same text and the same rythm. So I would like to copy the lyrics from 1 staff to another. I tried:
1) Go to lyrics edit mode in the first staff
2) Use the mouse to select the entire lyrics text (text turns blue)
3) Use right mouse button and select copy in the "lyrics submenu"
4) Go to lyrics edit mode in the second staff and try paste (CTRL v) --> this does not work
5) Also when I try to paste in a text editor it seems that nothing was copied.

However, the function through the menu "copy lyrics to clipboard" does work, but this type of lyrics cannot be directly copied to another staff, because is does not have the dashes etc. included.

To copy lyrics, you don't need to go to lyrics edit mode at all. Just select the lyrics you want to copy, copy, select the destination, and paste. So to copy the enter verse, click the first syllable, Shift+click the last, then Ctrl+C, then select the destination, the Ctrl+V.

Copy to clipboard is not the right function to use either - it's for assembling the lyrics into a single block you can then paste directly into a word processor or other program - or into a text frame in MuseScore.

In the future, if you need help using MuseScore, please ask for help on the Support forum.
