I have to write the trill notes out as 32nd notes then make them invisible. To the developers of MuseScore, can you make the trill articulation sign function properly?
But do keep in mind - the primary function of MuseScore is to produce good *notation*. Playback is definitely secondary. So trills already do "function properly" in that they render nicely. Playback would be a nice bonus, but as you'll see from previous discussions of the issue, it's a complex subject.
Hello
I read the vatious topic on trill, including the link to #1518.
I have only standalone musecore 2.0.1 version.
With this version, tremolo produce some sound but trill not. OK.
So with this version to produce sound trill, I put 32 notes unseen on the score, and the result is that the trill produce a quite good sound:
but there is problem about the visual result on the score; 32 notes are unseen (quite good), but they take space on the score (a blank space);
>> how can I reduce the space the 32 notes of the trill take on the score, in order to mask totally these 32 notes
Instead of putting the notes on the same staff, add a new staff just for ornaments, and after adding the notes to it, mark it invisible in Edit / Instruments.

See #1518: All Trill notations, including lines, should produce an actual trill sound
