Make a note in one time signature, draw a tie into the same note of the new time signature, will crash.
NOTE: On production build of Musescore 4, I just couldn't select that as an option.

This works for me, so in order to understand what is going wrong for you, we would need you to attach the score that is giving you problems and give precise steps to reproduce the problem (ie, which specific notes you are attempting to tie).
