beaming in musescore 4
The default beaning for sixteenth notes is different in MuseScore 4 than it was in MuseScore 3. How do I change the default so that it behaves as it did in MuseScore 3? It's very annoying to do it manually for every group.

I can't reproduce, in a 2/4 time sig Mu3 and Mu4 behave identical and per your Mu3 image

You have a sub-beam between the second and third notes in the MU4 version. Such defaults are set in the Time signature properties.
