Is it possible to use Musescore 4.x only for printing?
I am curious if I can create my score in Musescore 3.6 and only use Musescore 4.x for printing.
Is 4.x stable enough to open up a 3.x score and print it or would adjustments needs to be made? Also, would there be any advantage to doing this?
I do not care about playback. All I care about is the print / visual quality of the score.

Don't see why not. I would create special folder. In that folder place copies of the MS3 scores you want to work with. Open them in MS4 from that folder. Do this so that you still have the original MS3 files.
Most likely adjustment would be needed

Indeed. Often it should be better though
But it's still quite often needs tweaking
