Does not launch at all. I have disconnected all peripherals from the computer, restarted, attempted to relaunch to no avail. I also uninstalled MuseScore completely and used Onyx to clear application cache but that did not solve the issue either. I also attempted to run it on another M1 Mac Mini running Big Sur and was able to reproduce the issue. See included crash report.

The crash report shows that it is caused by a VST plugin. That is good news in a way: if you try often enough, MuseScore will finally work correctly. Why? When you try to launch MuseScore 4 the first time, it scans for VST plugins. When it crashes while loading a certain plugin, this plugin will be registered as "disabled" so that it won't be checked again next time. After enough attempts, all crashy plugins will have been marked "disabled", so then MuseScore will launch.
