With Mu3 this had worked. Doing so a special submenue popped up while opening s midi fole for import and one could select which of the midi elements you want to see ( among other you can select showing the chords symboles ).
But with Mu4 this feature is still missing in the brand new release.
Standard MIDI doesn't define chord symbols at all. Are referirng to something like the ".kar" format for karaoke? Can you attach a sample file that worked in MU3?
Note there is a known issue where the chord symbol style info is not initialized correctly after import. You can fix this by toggle the appearance to jazz and back to standard in Format / Style / Chord symbols, or saving and reloading.
