Being able to insert slurs quickly without using the mouse
So as of right now, in order to enter slurs for a passage, you select a note, press 'S', then click the next note. For some reason, the arrow keys will adjust the size of the slur instead of moving to the next note. Even pressing 'escape' doesn't move away from the edit mode.
If you were able to just press "S right right S right right..." to enter slurs, it would speed up writing quite a lot. I don't know why anyone would adjust the size of a slur with the keyboard, anyway. You have the anchor points that are explicitly very friendly for a mouse.
Attached is a score that shows the kind of slurring that is awkward to place right now- unless this feature does exist, and I just haven't found it yet.

Try S SHIFT+RIGHT as documented here https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/slurs

Oh, sorry, I'm interested in placing multiple slurs instead of extending an existing slur, such as in the example score, where pairs of two sixteenths are slurred together. This only extends the slur and won't allow you to exit the edit mode while still remaining on the same staff and position.
S, Esc, right, S, Esc, right...

...Oh, I understand. You must be in note-input mode while doing this, otherwise it does not work. I had only done this by normally clicking on a note and pressing 'S', which of course doesn't allow this quick placement. Is there a particular reason it does not work in regular edit mode? Well, anyway, I'll have to keep in mind the differences between each mode's hotkeys.
The reason I didn't discover this is because I'd never think to enter note input, since I'm only adding slurs to already existing lines.
Making manual adjustments with the keyboard is far more precise than using the mouse, and more efficient than having to constantly witch between keyboard and mouse anyhow. but the actual reason the slur is selected if you didn't select a range before adding the slur is so that you can actually change the anchor, with Shift+Left/Right.
As for navigating to the next note, Alt+Left/Right is the shortcut to move keyboard focus between elements. So, After adding a slur with S, Alt+Right will move to the next note. Or if you've selected a range before adding the slur, press Esc to cancel the range selection, then Alt+Right to resume navigation.
