How to mute/not playback in the new 'inspector'?
The old inspector you could untick the box which said "play"... where's it gone?

From the View menu, add the "Instruments" tab. Add the Properties tab also.

Sorry that doesn't help my question
Select the notes . In the Properties pane, right at the top under General, it has "Play" as one of the checkboxes

ah I see my problem. Yes, thanks a heap, it shows on the master score with a checkbox to Play, cheers for that.
I now see the reason I couldn't spot it before is because I was on one of the parts trying to mute something and that checkbox is not there in Properties on the individual parts.
