Tied Notes Still Failing

• May 17, 2023 - 22:37

Not exactly a new topic, but the latest iteration. I have MuseScore4 installed on my Windows 11 laptop. It says it has the latest updates, but it still plays tied notes separately.

I searched before starting this and found a post by Tchaiky1812 from November of 2022. The response pointed the OP to GitHub to download the latest "Nightly" update. I followed the instructions and found I had downloaded a separate MuseScore4.exe rather than an updater for my existing version. Is this actually your practice? If so, I find it mildly annoying. If not, what is the correct procedure for having my installed program updated rather than needing to go and download a different full version to attempt to address any issues I find?

Regarding nightly builds, see:

These are not intended for the general public.

The latest stable released version can always be found here:

For your tied note(s) issue please attach the score, explaining exactly (measure, staff, instrument, etc.) where the tied note is 'attacked' again instead of being merely sustained.
Also mention the soundfont used.

Thanks for the clarification! I'm glad to not need to do that!!

With both the standard and most-recent nightly, all tied notes in the attached act as though they are not tied. The font is Leland. Assistance will be appreciated, I'm having trouble with the rhythm with this one as it is without needing to tune out the extra hits.
