How to add linked tablature without crashing?

How do you create a linked tablature staff for a classical guitar score?

I'm trying to create a tab staff for the attached piece, but whenever I make the linked tablature visible and switch it to anything other than standard (e.g. Tab 6-str. Simple), Musescore immediately crashes.

I've done this for other scores and instruments without issue, but this specific arrangement with this instrument seems to reliably kill Musescore. I guess the Musescore devs really hate Beethoven?
