soundfonts
I need a soundfont and the three the ones that they recemed are not working on my pc. Does anyone have a clue where i am going wrong or anythin i can do?

yea i read and followed the instructions i downloaded the three that were recommened and nothing changed i still just got the piano sound and nothing else

There's more than just downloading them. They are compressed when you download them, so you have to unzip them. Then go into the preferences of MuseScore, tell it where the soundfont is on your computer, close the program, and restart it.

ive tried to unzip them and it still doesn't work any ideas ??

i have dowloaded several different soundfonts decompressed them and followed all the instructions properly and exactly. When i have added them to musescore nothin works and i have no sound if i play any instrument even when the volume is at 100%. can anyone tell me why or if i am decompressing them wrongor how they did it?

Could you go to Edit > Preferences then click on the I/O tab. Take a screen shot and attach a the image file to this thread.

i couldnt put a print screen straight on here i had 2 put it in a word doc this is before n after

The file you attached has one screenshot. It looks like you have not made any change to the I/O tab yet. It looks like you are not following all the instructions in the handbook yet. See SoundFont .

i did make the changes n i just attached the wrong file n im following the instructions in the soundfont part of the handbook like everyone else has told me to do n its not workin

Could you attach a screenshot after you have made the changes. Did you restart MuseScore after you made the changes? Are the playback buttons missing or greyed out? Are there any error messages that display? It is impossible to tell why it is not working without more information.

When you say PC, do you mean Windows? My linux laptop had issues with the snd-seq starting on its own until I loaded the module via rc.local.
