piano chords
I am working on a piano piece and rather than all of the notes in the chords happening all at the same time, I would like there to be a very tiny delay between the notes in the chord (running upwards). It would help if I knew what it was called but piano players do it all the time. Can Musescore 3 do this?

No not really, an arpeggio generally has equal note lengths, what I am trying (not very successfully it seems) to describe is more just sort of rolling your hands into the chord, rather than just slamming all the notes down at once, and holding the chord once they were there. does this make any sense?

Did you actually try the various arpeggio markings (5 of them?) on the "Arpeggios & glassandi" palette. Your description really does sound like what these symbols do.

I have tried it and (to my surprise) the up arpeggio is very close to what I am after. Is it possible to speed it up (without changing the tempo of the actual song) ?

I'm afraid I'm not surprised :-) Your description was, in fact, quite apt.

Experiment with it. The change does not seem to be linear. "0" simply turns off the arpeggio: that is, it requires "0" time for the arpeggio to play. "0.01" seems to be as quick as it will go and it sounds (to my ear) the same as "0.05". "0.1" is a little slower and sounds the same as "0.5". "1" is the default, thus, it's what you heard, and "2" is considerably slower ... and is the maximum you can set.
