Voices

Hi I need help with the attached file. In the soprano voice, there is a note A4, and in the tenor voice, there is a note C5. Why does the program read the tenor note as C4 and not C5?

As already mentioned: Apply the 8va bassa clef to the tenor stave. See my cursor.

All tenor notes will be an octave too high, so select the whole tenor staff and apply Ctrl+Down Arrow to transpose them to the correct position.
Notes colored red indicate that they are outside the range for a tenor voice.

Soprano and Tenor don't share the same clef: "Common" treble clef for Soprano, and treble 8va (see the little "8" under the clef) for Tenor.
A note on the same location (eg A4 in Treble clef) sounds an octave lower (A3) with the treble clef 8va

"After the tenor clef modification, ..."

Are you sure you attached the correct score? That attachment (Mar 27, 2024 - 06:20) shows only a plain treble clef for the Tenor, so the voice is sung an octave too high.

My modified score shows the required treble clef ottava bassa for Tenor voice, which sings at the correct pitch.
