Correct positioning of different voices
In the attached, the F note in voice 2 (stems down) appears to the left of the dotted crotchet in voice 1. But it would look neater (and I would think is more conventional, but I may be wrong...) if it is placed to the 'right' of the dotted crotchet. But I can't seem to force it to the right. Can anyone help? Thank you.

No sure it's more conventional (I'd have to check what Elaine Gould/Behinds Bars has to say about it - I can't remember and verify at the moment).
In any case it's possible: Select the note -> in Properties panel -> click "Appearance" tab -> set the "horizontal Offset" as wished

Thank you, that's really helpful. I'm not sure if it is conventional, but if I'm handwriting music that is what I would naturally do.
