merge whole notes
Hi. I have soprano and alto parts that are in unison, and when I put in the notes, it overlays the quarter notes and half notes, but when I do the whole notes, it puts each one next to the other. I don't want that. I want the whole notes of soprano and alto to be overlayed on each as well. How do I do that? Thanks...

Select one of the two whole notes. I recommend selecting the one in Voice 2. Open the Properties tab (upper left), Under Note / Head, check the box to Hide notehead. This also works when you have things like a quarter note and a dotted quarter note in the same place in two voices.
Usually this behavior is wanted though, as whole notes don't have a stem to indicate that both voices sing it in unison
