removing parts after starting a composition
I have an SATB and piano piece....while I need all voices, I created them separately ...and then put the Soprano/Alto part together along with putting the Tenor/Bass together in one line. Now...how to delete the Alto and Bass line that is now all rests?

Two ways: 1) Simply hide the empty staves: Format / Style / Score / Hide empty staves within systems. (From your description, not what you want.)
2) Open the Instruments tab (upper left). Select the staff you want to delete. With a staff selected, you should see a trash can icon in the upper right of the Instruments tab, immediately right of the Add button. Click it to delete the selected staff.
