slur not working
why does 1st slur work (sound as one), while 2nd slur plays 2 notes?
(2nd is meas 2-3)

The first sign is not a slur but a Tie.

Thanks so much, I am embarrassed, I didn't even think of that.
And
I never look/use the "status bar." Hmmm, well not yet.
