Downloading add-ins
HI, I'm confused as to how to install an add-in.
The one I'm interested in is called musicdiff.
I download the Zip file and I see a screen which has a folder "musicdiff - develop".
I open that folder but all I see is a list of files and I've no idea what to do.
Please help me.

They are referred to as "plugins" in MuseScore. See https://handbook.musescore.org/customization/plugins

Thankyou - I followed the instructions and I have now put the folder "music-diff - develop" inside my Plugins folder (in the default address within Musescore) but when I go to "plugIns" - manage plug-ins in my musescore piece I cannot see that particular plugin.

I see that plugin is only for MuseScore 2. So it won't work in 4.
