Keyboard shortcut for Select All Similar Elements not working
I've tried this both in 1.3 and 2.0 beta 1 and it doesn't work in either release. I go to edit->preferences->shortcuts and define a shortcut for "Select All Similar Elements" and it has no effect. Same story for "Select all Similar Elements in Same Staff". I know it's not the shortcut (Ctrl-Shift-N) because I can assign it to pop up the Synthesizer window and it works fine. Further, both select commands work perfectly when I use the right button pop up menu to initiate them. Perhaps that's the problem, since the command is initiated by a pop up menu, the keyboard shortcut cannot access it???
I just brought this up in the support and bug reports forum and Marc confirmed this is a bug and JoJo suggested I create an issue so here it is!

I have a similar problem, using the released 2.0 But in my case the SELECT all similar command from the popup either never worked or was so slow I thought it didn't but the shortcut DID. Go figure. Now that I have the released version NEITHER WAY WORKS for me Mac Mavericks.
P.S. THIS IS REALLY REALLY ANNOYING! It may have something to do with the files that were saved with older versions or something.
Indeed it might. So see the Hanbook under "Revert to factory settings" to clear that all out.
If that doesn't work, please post to the Support forum and include more details - a copy of the score you are having problems with and precise step by step instructions to reproduce the problem. Posting to old / closed issues is not good, as these are normally hidden.
