Can't tie twice in a row (0.9.6 regression)

Steps to reproduce bug
1. Press "N" to begin note entry mode
2. Click on staff to add a note
3. Press + to add a tied note
4. Press + again

Expected behavior: Another tied note should be added

Actual behavior: Nothing happens at step 4

MuseScore version: r. 2637 (bug not present in 0.9.5 stable)
