The style sheets Jazz_Lead_Sheet.mss, leadsheet.mss and MuseJazz.mms need to get updated to the latest file format version 2.03 to be able to load them, otherwise on load you get: "The style file is not compatible with this version of MuseScore."

Comments

Jazz_Lead_Sheet.mss and MuseJazz.mss are at version 1.14, leadsheet.mss is at version 1.9, I don't think just changing that to 2.03 would fix them

I'm inclined to remove the first two at least; I don't know that they serve any real purpose any more. I think I added them to ease the transition to the Jazz Lead Sheet template back when it was new. But MuseJazz.mss is kind of useful, or will be once updated. It changes all relevant text styles to MuseJazz. Really, we could use a way to do this for any font.

I am wanting to MuseJazz.mss in 2.0. Has anyone created this and if so where is it? Otherwise, how easy is it to create a new style from scratch? Are there any examples I can look at?

That style is basically just the Jazz Lead Sheet template, saved as a style file. So easiest is to simply use the Jazz Lead Sheet, or one of the other Jazz templates. But if for some reaosn that isn't convenient, just create a dummy score from one of those templates, then Style / Save Style, and there you have it.

If it is that easy, we should do this to update at least that particular stylesheet. And I guess we could remove the others in the same go.
Will prepare a PR...

Thanks for doing that. There's a chance we might want to revisit this again before release just to make sure we deals with newly added style settings and changed defaults, but there's also a chance this will be fine as is, and it certainly beat having a useless file in the distribution.
