Hi,
1. Decreasing the stretch in some, but not all, sections of my score has displaced he bar lines in the section so that they abut notes, or fall of the end of the stave. How can I correct this?
See bars p3 26-29 and p12 bars 191-3 of attached score. Interestingly, when I copied these sections onto a separate file to upload (to save you finding the pages) the problem disappeared.

2. I want to increase the space between staves on SOME pages, which will require decreasing the space between systems (to make room) - how can I do this? Using the increase space tool only allows me to increase the space, which flips one system onto the next page. I know I could increase the General System space, but this would affecr all pages and the system space is only geberous on some pages - where one stave needs more space (see p 38-9)

Many thanks - please tell me if you prefer a separate entry per topic.

A separate post per topic is definitely good, but much more importanmt is to use the forum, not the issue tracker, for support questions. And be sure to say what version of MuseScore and what OS. This issue tracker is for confirmed bugs and formal feature requests.

Meanwhile, I can tell you that you cannot decrease space between systems, only increase it. So set it to the lowest you will need and more where required, or rely on the "page fill" to kick in and add more space automatically where there is room. And what you see in bars 26-9 is simply a sign you are trying to reduce stretch more than is actually possible given your other settings, such as the minimum note distance in your Style / General / Measure.
