Plugin: break every X measures does not add visible line breaks (0.9.6 regression)

Steps to reproduce bug
1. Plugins > Break every X measures
2. Type 4 and press "OK"

Expected behavior: Line break every 4 measures

Actual behavior: nothing appears to change

MuseScore version: r. 2713

In r2714, it's working again but it does not add actual line break sign but just an "invisible" break in the layout.
There is no way to undo, and you can't modify the breaks afterwards.
