My First Score loads as A4 page format even if Letter preferred

Ubuntu 14.04 & Windows 7, GIT commit: 3543170

1) start MuseScore in an environment where page size should default to Letter
2) view My First Score
3) Layout / Page Settings

Result: page size is set to A4

Page size is set as expected when creating a new score, whether from scratch or from a template. Can we apply the same logic to My First Score?
