When 2 consecutive beamed notes are played together in cross-staff the resulting overlines are shifted on the left.

Confirmed. Steps to reproduce:

1) new piano score
2) top staff: add eighth notes middle C+D on beat 1, E on the "and" of 1 so they are beamed
3) select C
4) shift+ctrl+down

Result: the notes & stem for the C+D chord are shifted too far to the right. The ledger lines themselves are in the right place, as you can see if you break the beam.

This fixes the portion of this that is truly specific to cross-staff beaming. However, there is still a spacing issue that happens with user-edited beams - double click & drag - that are moved to opposite side of note from the default. This issue is not unique to cross-staff beaming - see #73731: Bad note spacing with user modified beam on chord with seconds. I filed that separately because the cause is deeper.
