I was looking to export my parts so that they would be individual and I go give them to my band but when I clicked on file the export parts button was there but it didn't allow me to click on it.
Have you generated parts (File / Parts)? You can't export parts if there are no parts to export.
If this does not sovle your problem, please attach the specific score you are having problems with and give precise steps to reproduce the problem.
In the future, it is best to ask for help first in the Support forum (or use Help / Ask for Help rom within MuseScore) first to confirm whether aproblem you are having is an actual bug or just a misunderstanding.
Almost certainly that's because you haven't created the parts in the first place. "Parts…" is just a little lower in the Edit menu. Once you've created the parts, if you want to export them as separate files you can use "Export Parts…". See https://musescore.org/en/node/36156 for more details.
For the future, it's preferable to go to the forums first (see link at the right) rather than opening bug reports.
Hi - I am ready to do the same. How do I CREATE the parts I want the to export?
It is not available (ie in bold) until this has been done; and I don't see how to do it!
