Setup:
Results are different in two different setups:
a) trunk rev. 3718, Ubuntu 10.04, Qt SDK 10.02 (Qt lib 4.6.2) => problem
b) trunk rev. 3714, Windows XP w/ SP3, Qt SDK 2010.04 (Qt Creator 2.0.0, Qt lib 4.7.0) => no problem

Steps:
1) Create a new score (with a flute in my case) with all the defaults.
2) Once the score is displayed, select "Layout | Page settings..."
3) With or without any change in the dlg box, press OK

Result:
setup a): SIGABRT
setup b): ok

The difference may rely either in difference of revision (from 3714 to 3718 something went wrong...) or in the difference of OS; more tests may be helpful.

Thanks,

M.

Comments

Addendum: the last code executed seems to be ("seems" because the debugger does not debug it, but it is the last code shown):

function const QList* Segment::lyricsList(int staffIdx) const in segment.cpp, line 636 which appropriately contains an abort() instruction.

Thought it may be helpful.

Layout | Page settings has just crashed MuseScore for me. Version 3996 on Windows 7. It's intermittent -- doesn't always crash, but it looks as if the earlier fix was not a complete one.

The original issue was for the trunk (now 2.0) version; yours refers to version 1.0. They belong to two different development lines and therefore are probably unrelated.

I think it would be better to set this one as fixed and close it again and open a new issue for version 1.0.

Thanks,

M.

Is this still a problem? Doesn't crash for me.

Maybe it's an Ubuntu exclusive if it doesn't affect Windows either?
