Assigning of alternate keys does not work
In order to enter notes on my keyboard I would like to assign other keys instead of a, b, c ...
For note entry I would like to use the num block on the right hand side of my keyboard.
But whatever key I assign it does not work
For assigning alternate keys I use dialogue "edit/preferences/shortcuts" scroll down to - say- "enter note a" click on "Define" and enter a new keys (or I use the original key AND a new new).
This down not work. Nothing happens when I press the new key or when I press the original key (when I have assigned 2 keys). When I reassign only the original key it works again.
I have installed Musescore V0.9.6.3 Revision 3507 under WindowsXP SP3.

Norbert

Numpad keys cannot be assigned to shortcuts because of #3870: Non-ASCII shortcuts.
Moreover, numbers are already shortcuts for note duration.
Thank you for your answer.
I tested a bit more and found out that when I use standard ASCII charcters it works.
However when I assign more than 1 character, it still does not work.
I assigned the letter M only for entering the note A - it works.
When I assign the letters A and M for note A - it does not work with neither character.
Did I still miss something I should know?
The dialogue says one can assign up to 4 characters.
