different time sigs (actual?) in different staves of same measure
I have several educational, theoretical examples that I think require different actual time sigs in the same measure but on different staves. I wonder if there is a workaround.
For instance, in the same bar, staff 1 might have 4 notes, staff 2 has 8 notes, etc., and I don't want any remaining rests to show. I'd also might want to align the notes in time (horizontally) arbitrarily. The barlines of each measure must align with all staves.
Is there a way to do this?

Different time signatures on different staves is not supported in current versions of MuseScore. A search of the website for "different time signatures different staves" turns up the following post: http://musescore.org/en/node/8276
I guess it could be better to use only one instrument and a combination of frame to get the effect you want.
