Although copyright text is now handled as a header/footer, a copyright field remains in the newscore windows.

If you are fool enough to write something in this text adds itself at the beginning or the other one, and cannot be deleted.

I had to do it "by hand" in the mscx file, where I found this text marked-up as "copyright".

To edit headers and footers (including copyright statement) go to Style > Edit General Style > Header Footer Numbers.

I agree that there are many UI problems with headers and footers in the current trunk, but I haven't had a chance to write up a formal review yet. (Maybe after 1.0 is out).

The copyright is saved as meta data and can be edited in Edit->Meta Data.
The default footer text references this meta data string.
