In current master and 2.0.3 nightlies, there is an option in the Canvas section of the Preferences to choose whether to display pages in a scrolling vertical column, or left-to-right horizontally (the default in 2.0.2). If the vertical orientation is selected, then any time an element in the score is dragged, unless it's on the first page, its anchor will appear to be somewhere off the page.

FWIW, this seems to apply only to elements anchored to segments as opposed to chords, notes, or measures. So for example, fingerings and articulations work fine, so do repeats and measure numbers. But other text including dynamics, also lines, have this issue.
