Program freezes computer when opening
Whenever I try to open the program, it freezes the computer for several minutes. The first few times it happened, I actually had to unplug the computer. Then I realized that I had to wait a lot longer. A LOT longer.

What operating system are you on? If Linux, how did you install MuseScore, and do you know what version of Qt you have installed? Also, about hHow old is the computer? Can you try the instructions in the Handbook under "Revert to factory settings"? See also the seciton on "Known incompatibilities" to see if there is anything on that list that could explain what you are seeing.
Basically, it is probably something on your particular system that is incompatible with MuseScore, and it is going to be a matter of figuring out what.
