2 bar repeat

• Feb 18, 2016 - 12:31

OK, I've been, up to now, using the workaround to drag the "repeat last bar" symbols over each other over the bar line, and adding a "2" in text above. This is good, but can need lots of fiddling to make good again especially if changing any layout or measure properties.

So I've been reading up and updating myself, and found the 2 bar repeat symbol, in Symbols in Musescore 2. I have seen elsewhere in the forum, a screenshot of this symbol appearing in the users "Repeats and Jumps" palette. I can't find a way to do this - how do I add the two bar repeat from Symbols into my Repeats and Jumps palette?

This is fantastic. I've created my custom workspace with my most used palettes, and got the 2 bar repeat included in the Repeats palette. Awesome!

I've managed to do something else that has caused the workspace to overlap my score rather than sit beside it. Trying to work out a way to undo this.

Thanks to all the Musescore team.

@ Tom Read, speaking ... a workaround:

Select measures 1 and 2;
Edit/Bar > Join Selected Measures;
From the barlines palette drag the Short 2 span, and release it on the 5th note, double-click and extend;
A repeat bar sign on measure 3, the repeat last two bar symbol in the middle between the 3/4;
Made invisible the rest in measure 4.
It might be useful?
