Fingering text needs to include letters such as "R", "r", "l", "L" for drummers and be below the notes. Also double combinations such as "rr". I have been using Staff text and a more experienced user in this forum suggested I make this an enhancement request.

You can already edit the fingering text, so no new feature is needed there. But the ability to set the placement below staff would indeed be nice. I am pretty sure the code now supports this internally, we would just need to expose this in the Inspector and via the "X" command.

It would be good to also add the lettering such as "R" and "L" so that every value would not have to be changed. Otherwise, it would require to change every single one. It would be a nice option when working on percussion. Otherwise, it creates more work than using Staff Text.

I'd suggest making that a separate suggestion.

As mentioned earlier, you can already add any markings you like to a custom palette; you don't really need MuseScore to do that for you. Plus you can use the new fingering mode to quickly enter as many as you like (is, enter one, press Space to move to the next, etc).

But if enough other users express interest in seeing these added to the palette it can certainly be done.
