Barre Deletes Dots on Higher Frets

Musescore won't allow me to place a barre across all strings at a given fret without interfering with dots already placed at higher frets.

Steps to reproduce issue:

a. In any score, add a blank chord diagram to any note.
b. Click on string 6 at fret 2; then on string 5 at fret 3; then on string 3 at fret 3.
c. Now hold the SHIFT key while clicking on string 6 at fret 1. This should put a barre across fret 1, leaving the other three dots (on frets 2 and 3) intact. Instead, it removes the previously entered dot from string 6.
