In "My posts", the "Mark as read" option doesn't work

Even if you click on the "Mark as read" option the view does not update. If you log out and log in later, the posts are still marked as "New". The only way to remove this flag is to actually click on the link to the thread

"Mark as read" doesn't seem to work at all. Only way to clear the issues is to visit all the outstanding ones.
I use this at times and it works whenever I try it. I did it earlier today on an issue that wouldn't finish loading for some reason so it would be marked as read.

Where is the "Mark as read" option? The only way I have found is to actually open the link to the post.
When you select recent posts from the activity menu, it's in the 3 dots menu that appears to the right of the menu. Sometimes the dots are there and sometimes not, but I don't know how to guess when I'll see them.

Aha. Thanks. In my case those dots are at the extreme right past everything else.
I don't see it in "My posts" but I do in the "Recent posts".

Now I don't see the 3 dots in "Recent posts". However I do in "My posts".

I was referring to the behaviour of "Mark as read" in the "My posts" page only. However, now the option seems to have disappeared.

Not working right now in recent posts for me. It was earlier.

On Mobile I don't see it in Recent posts either, I do on PC though.
But that's a different issue

I use chrome. Sometimes it's there, sometimes not. Right now it's there.

I use Firefox.
It is strange. In recent posts sometimes it shows up. I invoke it and get a message that all post are marked read. However when I scroll down many aren't.
Also, sometimes they are marked as read and then the next time I check they are not marked that way. I cannot find a pattern although I have been trying.
It is there only if there are unread messages

I see that it does not change the state of updated. Is that by design?

Automatically closed -- issue fixed for 2 weeks with no activity.
if you press "Mark as read" it has no effect on the "My posts" page even though the "Mark as read" option subsequently disappears from the dropdown list.
